- Ensure that the packaging is intact and the contents are still frozen.
Check the Temperature:
- Your beef should arrive frozen. If the beef is partially thawed but still cold, it is safe to refreeze or refrigerate.
- If the beef is warm to the touch, please contact us immediately.
Proper Storage:
- Freezing: Store the beef in your freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or below. Properly frozen beef can be stored for up to 12 months.
- Refrigeration: If you plan to use the beef within a few days, store it in the refrigerator at 40°F (4°C) or below. Use refrigerated beef within 3-5 days.
Handling and Thawing:
- Thawing in the Refrigerator:Ā Place the beef in a dish to catch any drips and thaw in the refrigerator. This method is the safest and ensures even thawing.
- Quick Thawing:Ā For faster thawing, place the beef in a sealed plastic bag and submerge it in cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes until thawed. Cook immediately after thawing.
